for Towns, Villages & Tribal Nations

PURPOSE:

It provides a quick “snapshot” of local conditions. This message is originated by Amateur stations based on information received OR each one-line CNTY element can be generated by amateur radio operators supporting civil authorities in RACES / ARES and subsequently relayed through MARS stations to the national level users if required.

This format is specifically designed to relay information about a variety of critical services in a compact and efficient manner using low data rate systems that is both human and machine readable.
